Guest access

Easy self check-in. Playacar is a secure, gated community with controlled access; before arrival we'll send your gate instructions, exact directions to the unit and your entry details, so getting in is simple even on a first visit. The condo is on a single level with step-free access from the walkway. You'll have full use of your unit, the private balcony, and the shared resort-style pool and tropical gardens. On-site parking/garage is available, and a team member is reachable by message throughout your stay for anything you need.

Neighborhood

You'll be staying in Playacar, the most exclusive gated community in Playa del Carmen. It's a calm, green, residential enclave of palm-lined streets, low-rise condos and private security — yet you're only a short walk from the action. Fifth Avenue (Quinta Avenida), the city's famous pedestrian boulevard, is just minutes away and packed with restaurants, cafés, boutiques, rooftop bars and nightlife. The soft-sand beaches of Playa del Carmen are equally close, and the Cozumel ferry terminal is a quick walk or ride away for an easy island day trip. Playacar also has its own golf course, beach clubs and the Xaman-Ha aviary nearby. It's the ideal base: peaceful and secure when you want to rest, lively and walkable when you want to explore.

Getting around

Playa del Carmen is wonderfully walkable — Fifth Avenue, restaurants and the beach are all an easy stroll from the condo. For longer trips, taxis are plentiful and affordable, and rideshare-style options operate in the area. Colectivos (shared vans) run frequently along Highway 307 and are the cheapest way to reach Tulum, Akumal or Puerto Aventuras. The Cozumel ferry departs from the downtown pier, just minutes away. The ADO bus terminal connects you to Cancún, Tulum and the wider Riviera Maya, and the Tren Maya station offers regional rail links. Cancún International Airport is about a 50-minute drive north. A rental car is handy if you plan to explore cenotes, ruins and beaches at your own pace, and there's parking/garage available at the property.

Other things to note

Non-smoking property. Before arrival we require a photo ID for every guest and a signed copy of the condominium regulations - this authorizes access to the property and lets us send your check-in details, and helps us keep good relations with neighbors and comply with building rules.

Beach & pool access: The shared resort-style pool is for guests' use and follows condominium hours and rules. Playacar's beachfront is a short walk away; please note some Playacar beach-club access points may require a wristband or pass - message us before arrival and we'll help you arrange access.

Please note nearby construction may occur Mon-Sat, 8:00 AM-6:00 PM, so some daytime noise may be heard. The on-site gym is temporarily out of service.

You may come across local wildlife (birds, geckos, the occasional insect, raccoons or local dogs). We care about the environment, so please avoid leaving food outdoors.

Your stay includes one cleaning before arrival and one after departure, plus basic welcome amenities (toilet paper, shampoo, soap and other essentials). Additional cleaning or restocking during your stay is available for an extra fee on request.

For the air conditioning to work properly, please keep doors and windows closed while it's running and avoid setting it below 21°C.
