You'll have full use of the unit and its balcony, plus the building's shared amenities - the rooftop with two pools, a jacuzzi and ocean views, and the laundry area. The on-site massage room is available by separate booking, and a team member is always reachable by message during your stay.

Neighborhood

Playa del Carmen is known for its white-sand beaches and turquoise waters, its vibrant nightlife, and its upscale restaurants, bars, and shops.

The city has a cosmopolitan and relaxed atmosphere, with a mix of cultures and traditions that make it unique. From its famous Fifth Avenue, which is a pedestrian street full of shops, restaurants and bars, to its plazas full of music and entertainment, Playa del Carmen is a place full of life and energy.

In the city, you will find a wide variety of activities for all tastes, from water sports and adventure tours, to yoga classes and relaxing massages in luxury spas. In addition, the city is the perfect starting point for exploring the impressive Mayan archaeological sites in the region, such as Tulum and Chichén Itzá.

Getting around

You can walk everywhere, it is not necessary to rent a car to move within Playa del Carmen.

However, if you want to visit places further afield, there are various transportation options available in the city. Here are some of the most common options:

Car rental: If you want to get to know the Riviera Maya, go to parks or cenotes or nearby cities.

Taxi: Taxis are a convenient and safe option to get around the city. You can find them on any corner and they are relatively cheap. Be sure to ask the price before getting on and agree a price with the driver before you start the trip.

Colectivos: The colectivos are small vans that function as public transportation and travel along the main highway of Playa del Carmen. They are an economical and practical option to move around the city and its surroundings.

Buses: There are several bus companies that connect Playa del Carmen with other nearby cities, such as Cancun and Tulum. Buses are a comfortable and affordable option for longer journeys.

Bicycles: If you like cycling, you can rent a bicycle in one of the many rental shops in the city. Playa del Carmen has an extensive network of bike lanes that connect the main tourist spots in the city.

There may be noise at night since it is located in the heart of Playa del Carmen but you can sleep at night with windows closed.

The parking lot in the building is only for the owners, guests can stay on the street and it is metered, paid with coins.

Before your arrival, we will request a photo of the identification of each of the guests who will be staying, as well as the signature of the condominium regulations. This helps us maintain a harmonious coexistence with the neighbors and comply with the building's rules.

It is likely that you will encounter birds, raccoons, local dogs, and other small animals during your stay (geckos, spiders, scorpions). We ask you to respect them; we take great care of the environment and we are the ones who are invading their habitat. To help avoid this, we recommend not leaving open food outside.

Your reservation includes a cleaning before your arrival and another after your departure. Additionally, we provide basic welcome amenities, such as toilet paper, shampoo, soap, and other essentials. If you desire additional cleaning or replenishment of amenities during your stay, we can gladly assist you for an extra cost. For the proper functioning of the air conditioning, we ask you to keep doors and windows closed while it is on and not to adjust the temperature below 21°C, as this could affect its operation during your stay.

Good to know about noise: this apartment is in the heart of Playa del Carmen, one block from Fifth Avenue, so you'll love being steps from restaurants, shops and nightlife - but there can be music and street noise at night, especially on weekends. It's much quieter with the windows closed and the A/C on. The nearby beach is a short walk away; like all of the Riviera Maya, it can have seasonal sargassum (seaweed) at certain times of year.
