Guest access
Self check-in with a smart lock or lockbox; full instructions are sent before arrival. The condo is on an upper floor of an elevator building inside the gated Playacar community, which has 24/7 controlled access and a path lit at night. As a guest you may use all shared amenities, including the pools, gym, rooftop terrace and clubhouse restaurant.
Neighborhood
Playacar is one of Playa del Carmen's most desirable gated neighborhoods, known for its quiet tree-lined streets, manicured grounds and proximity to the beach. You are a short walk or drive from 5th Avenue (La Quinta), packed with restaurants, cafes, bars and shops, and just minutes from Playacar's calm, sandy beaches and the Hard Rock Golf Club.
Getting around
Playa del Carmen is very walkable, and 5th Avenue and the beach are close by. Taxis and rideshare are widely available. Cancun International Airport is about a 50-minute drive; private transfers can be arranged on request. The ADO bus terminal in town connects to Cancun, Tulum and other Riviera Maya destinations. A car is optional but handy for exploring cenotes and parks.

For the safety of all guests, a valid government-issued photo ID is required for every guest before access is authorized; please be ready to share a clear photo of your ID. I stayed for a month. Very beautiful, large and pretty new unit. Stunning complex and grounds are very clean. Inside unit was clean but there were several scuffs and marks on the wall that should be painted over to maintain value. I had issues with lizards entering apartment twice at night due to front door having tiny gaps and couldn’t receive help from host because of time of day. It was hard to get in touch with someone by phone and they were not helpful. Also the balcony is shared with unit next door, it is not completely private. Fortunately, no one was staying there during my time. Overall still a good value if those things don’t bother you.
